
Kerry Beyer graduated from Sturgis High School in 1985 and went on to earn degrees in Biology and Physical Education from Northern State University in 1990. After a year of teaching and coaching in Sioux Falls, she joined Rapid City Stevens High School in 1991 as a science teacher and volleyball coach. Over the years, Kerry has taught a variety of subjects, including biology, anatomy, and human body systems, and currently teaches physical education. She has been coaching the throwers since 1993. Kerry earned her master’s degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2011, focusing on teaching, learning, and leadership.
Kerry is married to Bob Beyer, also a teacher at Stevens, and they have three married children and four grandchildren.
